Remind Users 🔔
Canyou can automatically send reminder emails to users who still have outstanding work to complete — such as unfinished workflows or certifications they haven't yet submitted. You can configure one or more intervals so reminders go out at the right time without you having to chase people manually.
How to configure reminders
- Navigate to Settings and click Edit on the Business Profile card.
- Scroll to the Remind users panel. Use the quick-add buttons (90, 60, 30, 14, or 7 days) or enter a custom number of days and click Add. You can set as many intervals as you need. Each active period appears as a removable tag — click the × to remove one.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
When does the clock start?
The reminder period is counted from the date work was most recently assigned to the user — not from when they first joined. So if you assign a new workflow to someone on a Tuesday, a 7-day reminder will go out the following Tuesday.
For users who have been invited but haven't yet created their account, the clock starts from when the invitation was sent.
What does the reminder email contain?
The email lists up to 5 specific items the user still needs to action, for example:
- Submit your "White Card"
- Finish your "Onboarding Flow"
It covers both outstanding workflows and certifications that are required but haven't been submitted yet. For users who haven't accepted their invitation yet, the email focuses on getting them to sign up rather than listing work items.
A few things to know
- If multiple reminder periods lapse before a reminder is sent, Canyou catches up to the most recent one and sends a single email — users won't receive multiple emails at once.
- Once a reminder has been sent at a given interval, it won't resend for that same interval.
- Archived users are always skipped.
