What's New in Canyou: August 2026

Five updates that take manual admin work off your plate

What's New in Canyou: August 2026

Here's what's new in Canyou this month. All five of these updates are aimed at the same thing: less manual follow-up, more things running on their own.

Automated Reminders

Canyou can now automatically send reminders for outstanding workflows and certifications.

Configure one or more reminder intervals — say 30 days and 7 days out — and Canyou will automatically email anyone with outstanding items. No logging in, no hunting down individual profiles, no clicking "send" one at a time.

This is the first thing we'd recommend setting up. It takes about 2 minutes and immediately cuts down on manual follow-up.

Why it matters: Fewer people falling through the cracks, zero manual chasing.

Certification Expiry Notifications

Previously, you could only set one reminder before a cert expired. Miss it, and there was no automatic follow-up.

Now you can stack as many intervals as you need — 90, 30, and 7 days, for example. Canyou notifies both the user and your admins at each point.

Why it matters: No more relying on someone noticing a cert is about to lapse.

Workflow Scheduling

Workflows can now be set to re-assign on a set schedule. Configure the schedule once on the position, and Canyou handles every reassignment from there.

Two modes:

  • Specific dates — the whole team gets the workflow on the same day each year. Ideal for annual policy updates and compliance training.
  • After completion — each person's cycle restarts a set number of days after they finish. Ideal for inductions and safety sign-offs.

Why it matters: No more tracking due dates in a spreadsheet.

Entry Points

Your QR code, upgraded.

You can now create multiple QR codes and shareable links, each tied to a specific position. An Employee QR code and a Contractor QR code side by side, for example, means everyone gets exactly the right requirements automatically — no manual routing, no one ending up in the wrong workflow.

Entry points also work as URL links. Drop one straight into a job ad so new starters can begin before they walk in the door. Each entry point has its own landing page and approval settings.

Why it matters: No manual routing, no one ending up in the wrong workflow.

Multiple Positions per User

Previously, someone with two roles — say, Chef and Shift Supervisor — needed a duplicate "Chef + Shift Supervisor" position to capture all their requirements.

Now positions stay focused on a single role, and a user can hold as many as they need. Requirements stack automatically.

Why it matters: Simpler, cleaner way to manage requirements across groups of users.
